Silverfish
Silverfish are very primitive insects that constitute Order Thysanura. They are agile, fast running, scale covered, whitish, wingless insects, most have silvery appearance and a body that tapers to the rear. About five species of silverfish have successfully invaded buildings. Silverfish are generally found in relatively undisturbed areas such as bookcases, storage rooms and ceilings, they can damage paper, fabrics. These areas are perfect for silverfish.
You'll see silverfish come out at night as they are a nocturnal insect. They move extremely quickly on their feet, though will tend to stay close to a source of interest.
Silverfish eat anything that is high in starch in protein. So, you'll find they'll happily munch on clothing, books, glue, photographs, dead insects and fungi or mould.
