• We first identify the type of fibres we are dealing with, to ensure that we use the correct cleaning techniques.
• Give the rug a thorough pre vacuum
• Use our special air tool to blow out all remaining dust particulate, re-oxygenate the fibres of the rug and clean the backing.
NOTE: This is an important part of the cleaning process, as the more dust and debris we remove before the steam cleaning process, the better the results will be.
• Inspect the rug for stains, and treat the stains using Best 1’s specialised cleaning products.
• Use our truck mounted cleaning equipment to deliver pressurised steam, containing cleaning substances and a conditioner, deep into the rug.
NOTE: The conditioner in the steam softens the fibres, so that they are left feeling like new again.
• Use our high airflow extraction to remove soiled residue and leave the rug as dry as possible.
• Deodorise and sanitise as required.
• Leave the rug to dry naturally, so that there is no stiffening of the backing (which can occur if rugs are left to dry in direct sunlight, or if a drying fan is used).
NOTE: Drying fibres too quickly can cause long-term damage to a rug, as the backing will start to crack and crumble; making it easy for the fibres to be pulled out when vacuuming.
