Care and cleaning.
To care for your floors you should remove everyday dirt, as this dirt can scratch the floor surface permanently marking it. All it takes is routine dusting and mopping of the floors on a regular basis. An important thing to consider are the products we use to clean our tiles with on a daily basis, now I’m not referring to the products we as a professional tile cleaner use, but the ones used by home owners, some people still use things like vinegar, bleach, ammonia and general cleaners, or abrasive cleansers, these products should be avoided as they can erode stone, grout and some tiles, and they are not good for the sealers that have been applied to some tiles or the grout lines. What should be use instead of these general cleaners is a pH neutral cleaner designed to clean tile or stone, these products have been produced to effectively remove a variety of materials without damaging the tile or stone. If you use the correct product for your particular floor type these cleaners prevent a build-up of dirt, scum and other deposits that can take away from the floors natural beauty, these products also don’t require rinsing, this is a problem with using some of the other product mentioned in the article, as they are left on the floor surface after cleaning, this can result in poor looking floors over time.
