FLEAS, CARPETS AND PETS
When we carry out a pest control for fleas in your home, we will kill all the fleas in your carpet – BUT – our licence doesn’t cover flea treatment for your pets!
If you don’t get your pets treated at the same time as we treat your carpets, the fleas from your pets will soon return to your carpets.
Speaking now as a dog owner; the product I use on my own dog is “Advantage”: which certainly works for him. As some flea treatments can cause a rash, you may need to shop around and find the one that is best and most effective for your pets.
If you treat your house, but not your pets, the outcome will be, to misquote Arnie, “We’ll be back”
During the summer months, cats and dogs should have a flea treatment applied every two weeks or as stated by a vet. During the winter months, when fleas are less active, the treatment should be applied every 4-6 weeks. This regular treatment will help to keep fleas from reoccurring during the year.
If you forget, we will be delighted to come and provide you with flea treatments on a regular basis.
