There is a problem with dust in the area due to the road works there, the road workers are doing their best to try and keep down the dust with water trucks, but it won’t stop all of it from spreading to neighbouring houses. This dust can settle on the foot paths and your own door step, so be careful not to walk the dust in and onto the carpets as this will damage the carpet fibres over time. This is where a deep steam clean with a truck mounted machine will come in handy, because it gets right down to the base of the carpets fibres where the dust is lying. If the carpets are cleaned on a more regular basis when under these sort of circumstances, where there is a lot of road works or building construction going on, the life of the carpets will be extended.
