The correct process for a good deep down steam clean for carpets is to firstly do a pre vacuum; all professional carpet cleaning Gold Coast companies should do a pre vacuum first, the pre vacuum is a very important part of the whole cleaning process.
This important element is often missed out by carpet cleaners, but a good pre vacuum with lift out all of the loose particulates before any pre spray is put down. If there is dirt in the carpet that can be lifted with a pre vacuum it will turn to a liquid when a pre spray is put down, this can stain the fabric or make it harder to get the desired results.
After a good vacuum then a pre spray solution is applied to the whole carpet this has to be an even application. The more even the pre spray is applied the better the final result will be.
After the pre spray has been applied then the cleaning process will begin, as a cleaner starts to clean the carpet any smaller marks than haven’t come out with the pre spray solution will have some spot treatments applied, to try and remove all the stains.
Some stains that have been in carpets for some time may not be able to be removed these stains are classed as set, this is when the carpet fibre have changed colour, the only way to remove this sort of stain is with specialised stain removal solutions.
So after the carpet has been thoroughly cleaned a deodorise will be applied, the drying time for a good carpet cleaner would be around 2-4 hours some carpets can dry faster than that, but some can also take a little longer to dry, this will depend on what has had to be to the carpet and the condition of the carpet before the cleaning process started.
This is also the same process for cleaning upholstery, except a different pre spray solution would be used, and the fabric would be brushed before the cleaning process, this will help to loosen any in ground dirt from the upholstery.
